COURSE
DESCRIPTION
In this course, students are introduced to concepts
in geometric construction and develop skills in a computer-based 3D modeling
environment. Prerequisites: GE0014, CA1012, CA2023
COURSE
OBJECTIVES
The objective of this
course is to gain a good solid understanding of the intricacies of 3D
modeling and be able to exhibit those attributes by creating
quality organic models that utilize a variety of modeling techniques.
The student will base their models on the characters they designed in
their Characterization class. The student will be expected to verbalize
the 3 major modeling techniques and to distinguish the benefits and drawbacks
of each methodology.
Upon
successful completion of this
course you will be able to…
1. Create 3d models utilizing polygonal low poly and high poly modeling
systems.
2. Articulate the major differences between low poly and high poly modeling
systems.
3. Create low poly models.
4. Create high poly models
