Assignments are designed to explore “surface” qualities, texture, image layering, distortions, additive and subtractive color theory, color mixing, digitizing, and resolution systems. The students will learn how to address output limitations. PREREQUISITE: IC1031

COURSE OBJECTIVES
The objective of this course is to gain a good solid understanding of the intricacies of image painting and texture creation and be able to exhibit those attributes by creating quality paintings that utilize a variety of advanced techniques including blending modes, layers and channels. The student will also investigate advanced texture creation techniques while experimenting with the understanding of materials and shaders inside of a 3D software such as 3DsMax.

Upon successful completion of this
course you will be able to…

1. Create paintings utilizing advanced techniques

2. Create textures for advanced shaders.

3. Create seamless textures.
